feathery flowers

In an attempt to escape the crowds in Edinburgh during the fringe, I went to do a little wander in the botanical gardens. Here are some photos I took there:

I must have come at an in-between stage; nearly all the flowers were either in bud or half-withered. It didn't stop the bees.

Feathery, wispy pinetrees in the Chinese Hillside, captured just as they were at that moment.
