Sonnet
One of my favourite sonnets ever:
18
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more sweet and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometimes declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breath, or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
By none other than Mr Shakespeare himself, of course. I've highlighted my favourite parts, what do you think of poetry?

That picture is glorious! I love poetry, although I'm not a huge Shakespeare fan. His poems are a bit too ubiquitous. I prefer more obscure poetry, because I don't feel like I've heard it all before.
I agree on the part about Shakespeare, some of his sonnets are very beautiful, but most of them are quite hard to read. Thanks:)

menne du, du blir med sørover, ja ?
Ja, såklart!!! Driver å fikser å trikser å mikser, if you catch my drift;)
I love this one so much also. My favourite poet though is Tennyson. The Lady of Shallot to me is perfection. x
I totally agree! I've been looking for an old copy of his poems on ebay for a long time!
